Description from the seller
ELLA
C. Del Barrio | Contemporary Original
Acrylic on canvas · 70 × 90 cm
Ella is an exploration of identity, fragmentation, and transformation. Through a deconstructed female figure composed of geometric planes, expressive black lines, and intense color contrasts, C. Del Barrio creates a portrait that moves between mystery, vulnerability, and strength.
The work stems from the feeling of being made of fragments, of breaking apart and rebuilding oneself time and again. Angular shapes and vibrant colors turn this experience into a visual language of its own, where fractures cease to be wounds and become part of one’s identity.
Straddling figuration and abstraction, Ella invites viewers to discover their own contradictions and versions of themselves. An original piece with a strong personality, created to draw the eye and bring character to any contemporary space.

About the artist
C. Del Barrio is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist whose work lies between contemporary Cubism and figurative abstraction. Initially trained in the arts, she has pursued her career as a painter alongside her international career as an opera singer.
Her artistic language explores identity, emotion, and transformation through color, imperfect geometry, line, and symbolism. Her figures, often fragmented, simplified, or hybrid, move away from literal representation to create images open to different interpretations.
Her work combines structure and spontaneity, recognizable forms and abstraction, with particular attention to gesture, balance, and expressiveness. Her faces and figures do not seek idealized perfection, but aim to convey presence, character, and emotion.
She currently works in Spain, creating original works on canvas for private collections and contemporary spaces.
