Description from the seller
This piece explores the relationship between the human figure and nature through a contemporary lens. The face emerges amid organic forms, gestural brushstrokes, and a palette of greens, blues, and warm tones, creating a sense of movement and depth.
“Esculpida” (Sculpted) suggests a figure shaped by its own surroundings: between the vegetal and the human, the delicate and the intense. The forms seem to take shape and dissolve at the same time, as if identity were being sculpted by light, landscape, and emotion.

R. Serra is a visual artist based in Spain whose practice centers on pictorial research and the mechanisms involved in constructing images. His training in Fine Arts, specializing in painting, along with subsequent studies in graphic design, informs a visual language that places painting in dialogue with the aesthetics and visual logic of digital culture.
His work explores memory as a process of editing and reconstruction, in which lived and imagined memories converge to create images that question the stability of representation. Through painting, he explores the tensions between presence and absence, experience and fiction, proposing scenes suspended between the intimate and the universal.
Over the past decade, he has developed an exhibition career that includes group shows in national and international galleries, consolidating his presence in the contemporary art scene.
