The Arend Spoor Kunstgroep was founded in Venlo as a collective for young artists after World War II. A lot of use was made of the new polystone material, a liquid mix of granite and synthetic resin that was poured into a mold to be decorated or not after hardening. 

These two vintage bookends in the shape of a boy and a girl, both sitting on a bench, have a loamy colour and are screwed on wooden boards that are stained warm brown. 

Marked: A.S.V. (Kunstgroep Arend Spoor Venlo). Dimensions of both bookends: 21 cm high, base: 9.5 cm x 12 cm. Condition: excellent.


Sweet mini wall relief of a boy in relaxed pose, one hand in the jacket pocket, the other hand holds an umbrella. The style is typically fifties. 

Marked AV (Arend Spoor Venlo) on the side. Dimensions: 15 cm high.
Condition: excellent.
