This is a late 19th century pocket Balloonist or Alpinist Barometer Altimeter Compass and  compendium or weather station consisting in a  silver altimeter and barometer dial and compass 

The barometer scale goes from 46-78 and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 4500 meters.

The body of the devices is made from gilded brass with minimal wear and tear. The  devices comes in a well fitted leather and wooden case with excellent green velvet liner. 

What makes this altimeter rare is the high altitude range of the dial which is very hard to find for such a small device.

Bought barometer and compass is working about the altitude I never tasted.

Diameter instruments: 5cm x 2cm
Diameter case : 13 cm x 9 cm x 3 cm

The item location is in France and will be shipped whit a French post office very carefully packed and tracking number.
