Full size 1976 GPA Patrick Depailler helmet
Patrick Depailler was a French racing driver who participated in 95 World Championship Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 2 July 1972. Depailler drove for the Formula one teams off Tyrrell, ligier and Alfa Romeo, at Tyrell Depailler also drove in the legendary P34 six wheeler car.
Depallier suffered a fatal accident in testing at Hockenheim ten days prior to 1980 German Grand Prix when a suspension failure pitched his car at the high-speed Ostkurve, inflicting fatal head injuries when the vehicle overturned and vaulted the barrier.
Here we offer an incredible Patrick Depailer recreation helmet based on the same helmet Patrick used during his time at Tyrrell in 1976. This excellent restored seventees GPA helmet is in very good condition and it’s fully painted by a professional. The details on this helmet are not stickers but are perfectly painted on this great and recognisable helmet. A Patrick Depailler helmet is very rare and hard to find and this will make an excellent display piece in any motorsport or F1 collection.
