This “MÉLODYNE” record player was made in the late 1950s in France.
A vintage record player in a dark green case and coming from a private collection.

Rarely offered.

The suitcase has some signs of wear (see the photos).

Is a portable record player with built-in tube amplifier.
The cables can be stored in the lid.

Works excellently with a lot of volume.

The rpm is 16/33/45/78, so it is suitable for LPs/singles/78 rpm records. 

Also has a “0” setting, where the drive wheel is released from the drive shaft. When the record player is not used, always put it in the “0” setting to prevent damage (dents) of the drive wheel...

The cartridge is a so-called "turn-over" cartridge and has two needles ("M" for LPs and singles and “78” for 78 rpm). 
  
There are 2 buttons on the deck, the volume button on the right and the tone control on the left.

On-off button is missing. Switching it on/off is done by plugging the plug in and out of the socket.

After adjusting the speed and placing the record, the arm is taken off the support and moved to the right. You hear “click” and the platter starts to turn.
Place the arm on the record and this will play. 
Has an automatic turnoff at the end of the record.

With separate singles adapter.
