El exterior es de zinc de alta calidad esmaltado en negro azabache, decorado con motivos florales exóticos dorados combinados con cristales de Murano de talla rosa. La simetría y perfecta repetición de las decoraciones se complementa con las tres patas doradas que sujetan la pieza. 
El interior está chapado en naranja salmón, el color opuesto al negro según el modelo aditivo de color, para dar más contraste.

Esta pequeña joya decorativa es una preciosa reproducción de los huevos que se hicieron en la Russia Imperial para los zares, la aristocracia y la élite industrial y financiera entre los años 1885 y 1917.
