Beautiful and rare bronze Viking Thor's lightning amulet (Thor's lightning bolt amulet). Thor was the god of thunder and lightning. Seafaring Vikings sometimes wore this amulet  to protect themselves from bad weather. It had to keep away bad weather. 


Material: bronze with a dark patina 
Date: Early medieval, 8th / 11th century. 
Origin: Northern Europe 
Dimensions: 35 x 11 mm
Condition: not cleaned / perfect, see photos.
