Het toestel is zo goed als nieuw zonder noemenswaardige sporen van gebruik.

Beschrijving:

Super solide (15 kg.) zwaar toestel uit de ES (Extremely High Standard) klasse, de Sony top lijn.
Hier in de zwarte editie, gebouwd in 2001
Een SACD-speler heeft een groter frequentiebereik en oplossend vermogen dan een "gewone" CD-speler.
Bij het gebruik van SACD's merk je dat onmiddellijk maar ook de standaard CD's profiteren hier van met een iets ruimtelijker weergave.

De SCD-555ES werd in 2001 door alle grote Duitse vakbladen (Audio, STEREO en Stereoplay) getest, scans van deze tests staan op de bijgeleverde CD-Rom.
Citaten uit STEREO 2001/03: 
- Misschien wel de laatste 2-kanaals, puur stereo SACD-speler van Sony.
- Grond solide afwerking, liefdevol gebouwd, beeldschoon display. 
- Uitgang met lage weerstand, geschikt voor lange kabels.
- Muisstil loopwerk.
- Zeer compleet, CD-R geschikt dankzij dubbele laser unit.
Alle testers waren vol lof en gaven een hoge waardering.

De verzending wordt geregeld door Catawiki, zij hebben bij UPS, DHL, DPD en PostNL een heel gunstige deal weten te sluiten.
Op die manier heeft de verkoper met de verzendkosten niets te maken en is de koper verzekerd van de meest gunstige prijs in de markt.
Ophalen in Haren bij Groningen kan natuurlijk ook.
