THE STORY
SAVILE is a story written by enthusiastic people who together created something profoundly human, something crafted by hand, something that has never been done before. Something you will sense the moment you feel your boat glide across the water for the first time. 
The way people look at our design made us realise that this boat is not just a boat, but an object that gives emotion. So, we decided to turn our boat into unique pieces of art, and make them contributing to a more peaceful and sustainable world. 
Each SAVILE boat is one of a kind, an art object handcrafted with care. Values such as respect, humility and sustainability are central to the skilled​ craft(wo)men and artists who take part in this iconic creation.

LIFETIME EXPERIENCE
The SAVILE boat is designed to provide the ultimate combination of lightness, performance and stability, allowing to concentrate on the perfect rowing stroke easily and safely. All of this contributes to the rower's immersive experience: with the swallow tail-shaped opening at the aft of the boat offering a visual and sensory link with the water.

THE LAKE COMO DESIGN FESTIVAL ONE OFF EDITION
Gliding on the water provides a moment of serenity, a timeless moment on the water to hear, breathe and feel differently. With light and air, water is one of the most basic human needs for health and well-being. Yet the natural source of life on earth is threatened.
For the Lake Como Design Festival, we are thrilled to unveil the boat in this light blueish colour with lines of gold representing a reflection of the increasing scarcity of water and raising awareness of everyone's right to quality water.
Particular attention has been paid to the quality and sustainability of the materials, as well as the finishing details. As this boat is entirely handcrafted, it has a few ‘perfect imperfections’ that also make this boat so unique.

Therefore, with the sale on Catawiki, 15%* of the sale price will be donated to the FONDATION TARA OCEAN.
The FONDATION TARA OCEAN (www.fondationtaraocean.org) has two main missions: exploring the Ocean to better understand it and sharing this scientific knowledge to create citizen and collective awareness. Since 2003, it has been developing high-level ocean science to understand and anticipate the upheavals linked to climatic and environmental risks as well as the impacts of various forms of pollution.

Our commitment is not limited to donating a percentage of the sale price, as the profits from this sale will in turn be invested to create other unique editions of the boat to support other causes.

Rigging : Carl Douglas Single AeRoWing™ sculling rigger / SAVILE CNC-machined shell interface (7075 Aluminum grade)
Foot stretcher : Shimano KFR-500FC / SAVILE CNC-machined foot stretcher rails/tube (7075 Aluminum grade)

All metallic component treated with anti-corrosion nickel coating

The weight of the boat is given as an indication and cannot be considered as a contractual obligation.
