This item is a beautiful, authentic 19th century Western Anatolian prayer rug, representing the characteristic "Kiz Ghiordes" style of the Ghiordes (Gördes) region. This rug is not just a floor covering, but a valuable piece of textile art from the late Ottoman Empire.

Pattern and design
The central motif of the rug is the distinctive, stepped arch mihrab (prayer niche) design. Typical of the Kiz Ghiordes style, the design features a double niche (or "belly" motif). The field is filled with small, stylized floral and geometric motifs.
The main border is a wide, zigzag (hooked edge) pattern typical of the style, providing strong visual contrast through the use of different colors.
Condition
The rug is in excellent condition for its age.
The pile is well preserved in most areas, with minimal, even wear.
There are no tears, significant stains or major damage.
The colors are vibrant; the natural dyes have aged nicely (patina).
The fringes and edges are intact, with minor natural wear consistent with its age.
