Distilled on September 30, 1996, aged for over 19 years in Hogshead #1390 sherry and bottled in June 2016 after maturation in a 54.7% sherry puncheon.
The Isle of Arran Distillery is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. The distillery is in the village of Lochranza, on the north-west tip of the Isle of Arran, where it is perfectly situated to capture the magnificent island's character of pure mountain water and fresh sea air lapped by the Gulf Stream. This handcrafted malt contains no added artificial colors and is not chill-filtered at the bottling stage, ensuring an all-natural whiskey that retains the full range of aromas and flavors typical of Arran malt. The result is a smooth sherry whiskey characterized by notes of dark fruits, peach, apricot, caramel, milk chocolate and subtle spices.
