Hello, offered here for sale is a beautiful beaded two-horned prestige hat of the Pende / Yaka peoples of Congo, DRC, Africa.  Made from raffia/ grass fiber and small glass beads.
  The indigenous name of the hat is Misango Mapende / Misango Mayaka. 
   I acquired this hat from an old German collector who had purchased it before the 1980s. Overall it is very clean and in fairly good condition, although the horns are a bit loose, and there are 2 spots where a few glass beads have been lost. (I will include the loose beads in the package.)  Those spots are BARELY VISIBLE if the hat is being displayed for decoration, but if perfection is important, then they could easily be repaired with some raffia or thread.  (I would prefer to let the new owner decide what to do.)
Dimensions: 35 x 28 x 14 cm.

Bidders within Europe are preferred. DHL.
Shipment with DHL to USA,  Canada, parts of Asia etc is possible, but it costs almost double for shipping and will require a longer time. Thank you for understanding.
