Voor dit boekwerk maakte Escher 24 houtsneden ( tekst in Nederlands en Latijn ) , de tekst is van zijn vriend A.E. Drijfhout . De boei is een van deze houtsneden.

De houtsnede is in mooie staat en licht verkleurd i.v.m. de ouderdom.

Afmeting houtsnede 14 * 18 cm.
