Karyanto was born in 1973 in Surabaya, Indonesia. When his father moves with the family to Malaysia to work as a painter for the kingdom, Karyanto stays in Surabaya to finish his studies. His father, however, dies early and Karyanto must provide for the family. He moves to Malaysia, where he takes on the role of head of the family. He tests his luck as an artist, but work falls short to generate enough income.

After a few years, Karyanto asks his mother for the blessing to return to Indonesia. Here Kasyanta goes to work in the advertising world. Painting comes only rarely until he starts working for an art studio. Here he joins as a painter and for five years delves into Buddhism. His work becomes known in many countries, but because his name may not be signed on the canvases, the fame goes to his employer.
Karyanto decides to go solo and opens his studio. His work becomes increasingly well known and is exhibited in exclusive galleries in France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Singapore and America.

Karyanto is a specialist in Buddha paintings and wilde animals. In the mornings he receives inspiration from the rising sun, after which he prays and paints. His technique of acrylic mixed with sand creates a wonderful effect and gives his work a unique character. The fantastically beautiful relief paintings of zebras and elephants also create a unique atmosphere and cosiness in your living room.
