After finishing school at the prestigious Lycée de jeunes filles in Nice, Andrée Joubert (Paris 1984 - 1959) entered the school of decorative arts in this same city. She received excellent technical training there thanks to Paul Daudoin, renovator of the fresco-style and Fréfaça Renoir. Her works were exhibited 3 times by the Museum of Modern Art, in Paris, as well as in multiple other European art galleries. Among others, the Carnegie Institute, the Prague Museum and the Ville de Paris purchased her works of art.  In 1947, she was knighted with the French Légion d'Honneur. 

Included with the painting is a 67-page catalog of her exhibition at the Galerie Bernheim-Jeune in 1963.
