Dit is een bas-reliëf (laagreliëf) in marmer, in een sierlijke vergulde lijst, vermoedelijk uit de 19e eeuw of mogelijk vroeg 20e eeuw. Voorstelling van twee putti (engelachtige kindfiguren). Sterk beïnvloed door de neoclassicistische of barokke stijl, veel voorkomend in decoratieve kunst van de 18e en 19e eeuw.
Dit intrigerende kunstwerk is een marmeren reliëf met een rijkelijk versierde vergulde lijst, en toont een sierlijke voorstelling van twee gevleugelde cherubijnen in een tedere en speelse omhelzing. Het werk straalt een klassieke schoonheid uit en roept associaties op met de renaissance- en barokkunst, waarin engelen, putti en mythologische taferelen vaak een centrale rol speelden.

Het ronde reliëf toont in fijn uitgewerkte details twee kinderfiguren met vleugels — typisch voor putti of cupidofiguren — die liefdevol met elkaar verstrengeld zijn. De zachte rondingen, expressieve gezichten en sierlijke vleugels zijn met grote precisie gebeeldhouwd. De compositie ademt een gevoel van speelsheid, onschuld en hemelse rust.

De omlijsting is bijzonder rijk: een verguld kader met rococo-achtige elementen zoals acanthusbladeren, schelpmotieven en florale ornamenten. Dit vergulde kader contrasteert prachtig met het matte, witte marmer van het reliëf, waardoor het werk nog meer diepte en elegantie krijgt.
Het werk is in uitstekende staat en gesigneerd in de tekening 'EWW 48'.
