British WWII Campaign Medal – Palestine Clasp – Named to Private C. Haskew, Royal Sussex Regiment

This is an authentic British military campaign medal, likely from the WWII period, awarded to Private C. Haskew of the Royal Sussex Regiment.

Details:
	•	Obverse: Features the effigy of King George VI wearing a crown, with the Latin inscription “GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX ET INDIAE IMP” (George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all Britons and Emperor of India). Below the portrait is the mark “PM.”
	•	Reverse: Depicts a winged figure of Victory holding a spear in one hand and a laurel wreath in the other, above a sword with wings – symbolizing peace and triumph over war.
	•	Edge inscription: “6397283 PTE C. HASKEW R. SU SS R.” (Private C. Haskew, Royal Sussex Regiment)
	•	Suspension bar: Engraved with “PALESTINE”, indicating the campaign or area of service.
	•	Size: Slightly larger than a 50 bani coin.

This medal is a great collector’s item, especially due to its named recipient and campaign bar. It comes as-is, with original patina and historical authenticity.
Good vintage condition with signs of age and wear consistent with its period. All inscriptions are legible.
