Antiek koperen tabaksdoosje – handgegraveerd – dorpsgezicht met molens – Nederland – ca. 1880–1920

Omschrijving:
Prachtig antiek koperen doosje, vermoedelijk gebruikt als tabaksdoos of snuifdoos. De doos is ovaal van vorm en volledig met de hand vervaardigd. Het deksel is voorzien van een gedetailleerde gravure met een typisch Nederlands dorpsgezicht: een stadspoort of toren, diverse molens, huizen en een zeilschip. De gravure is fijn en ambachtelijk uitgevoerd, met oog voor detail.

De binnenzijde toont authentieke oxidatie en een mooie blauwgroene patina – een natuurlijk effect van ouderdom en koperlegering. Het scharnier werkt goed en het deksel sluit zoals het hoort. Dergelijke doosjes waren populair eind 19e tot begin 20e eeuw, vaak gebruikt door rokers of als persoonlijk bewaardoosje voor snuiftabak of kleine kostbaarheden.

Staat:
Goede antieke staat. Sporen van gebruik, ouderdomsverkleuring en oxidatie zijn zichtbaar (zie foto's), maar passend bij leeftijd. Geen grote deuken of restauraties. Sluitmechanisme werkt naar behoren.
