This is a rare English 19th-century chinoiserie dresser in black-lacquered wood, lockable with a key.
Exceptional English Chinoiserie sideboard (circa 1870–1900), hand-lacquered black with gold-painted Oriental scenes (pagodas, ships, figures, birds). Three doors with blue interiors and shelves—the inner faces of the doors are also gold-painted with figures (woman with a fan and child, man with an umbrella), bamboo and mountains—on block feet with dovetail joints.
