Deze oude hutkoffer met ingenieus ingebouwde vakken en ophangsysteem behoorde toe aan Jacobus Johannes Tiele (1886-?). Zijn initialen en ook een vignet van de familienaam zijn duidelijk zichtbaar aangebracht op de hutkoffer. Jacobus Johannes Tiele kwam uit een voornaam geslacht. Zijn vader was Marinus Johannes Tiele, een succesvolle tabakshandelaar op Deli (Indonesië) en een verdienstelijke verzamelaar van kunst, de Haagse School in het bijzonder. Jacobus Johannes Tiele trouwt in 1912 in New York met de Amerikaanse Clyde Lamar Ranay. In 1919 vestigen zij zich in Den Haag. Als deze hutkoffer kon spreken, zou hij vele reisverhalen kunnen vertellen...

Deze koffer wordt alleen binnen de provincie Noord-Holland bezorgd. Verzendkosten zijn in dat geval €25,00. Buiten Noord-Holland geldt ophalen in Schagen (Nrd-H).
