A pair of Art Deco glazed craquelé earthenware Elephant Bookends by A.M.C.
Belgium, 1920s-1930s.

Craquelé Bookends in the shape of Elephants with raised trunks.
These crackleware (Craquelé) bookends in earthenware, Faience were made in Belgium in the AMC Faience Factory (August Mouzin & Cie).

Both marked on the bottom.

Height = 21.5 cm
Weight = 1395 g

In good condition. Normal traces of age and use. No damage. Tiny baking flaw to the glaze near the base of one bookend (last photo).
