Antique double inkwell with horse figurine from France, French vintage deck decor, decorative
This is an antique French inkwell featuring a horse figurine. After sculptor Auguste Bossu. 
The inkwell is made of pewter, spelter.
It is a double inkwell, with two lidded receptacles on either side of the horse. 
The piece is from the early 20th century, often described as being from the Art Nouveau period. 
The base is typically ornate with scrolling motifs and floral designs.
