Rare Set of Original 1900–1920 Gilded Ornaments & Corners for Jewelry Boxes – Art Nouveau / Early Art Deco – Unused Antique Stock (ca. 3–6 cm)


This is a rare and complete set of antique gilded metal ornaments originally made between 1900 and 1920, preserved in brand-new, unused condition (new old stock). These decorative mounts were produced in Western Europe (likely France or the Netherlands) and were commonly used on luxury jewelry boxes, writing caskets, sewing boxes, and small decorative chests.
The set reflects the transition from late Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) with its flowing floral lines and enamelled blossoms, to the early Art Deco style with its geometric fan patterns and structured motifs.

Contents & Approximate Dimensions
8 corner mounts in two filigree styles (geometric lattice and floral shell/vine designs) – approx. 3–4.5 cm
4 large decorative triangular plaques with embossed medallions, foliate sprays and scrolls – approx. 5–6 cm
4 enamelled floral corners, hand-painted in turquoise and mauve, with typical Art Nouveau ribbons and flowers – approx. 4–5 cm
6 square fan plaques with stylised sunburst/fan engravings – approx. 3 × 3 cm
4 rosette medallions in floral form with raised central boss – approx. 2.5–3 cm

Each piece has small pre-drilled holes for attachment, exactly as they were produced for box makers and restorers in the early 20th century.

Style & Historical Context
Art Nouveau influence (ca. 1900–1910): enamelled floral corners, vine and shell motifs.

Early Art Deco influence (ca. 1915–1920): geometric fan plaques, lattice corners, stylised ornamentation.
Such gilded mounts were typically produced in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, often referred to as “ormolu” or gilt brass fittings for high-quality decorative boxes.
