For sale an iconic photobook by Dutch artist duo Ari Versluis & Ellie Uyttenbroek, documenting social dress codes and group identities through meticulously staged portrait grids. Each series presents twelve individuals photographed in identical pose and framing, revealing the subtle boundaries between individuality and uniformity.

The project, started in 1994, has become a landmark in contemporary photography and visual anthropology, influencing both fashion and cultural studies.

This first edition, published by 010 Publishers (Rotterdam, 2002). No dust jacket as issued approx. 32.5 × 24.5 cm. Highly sought after by collectors.

A key work in conceptual portraiture — where sociology meets style.
