XTC, Mc Dollars red Boxed, a plastic and wood sculpture in a black boxed frame, edition 2 of 20, dated 2026, 27 by 27 by 6 cm, hand-signed on the back with COA provided, made in France.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cone in a black-frame display case for wall presentation by XTC.
Re-appropriation of the McDonald’s cone. This is not a cardboard McDonald's cone; it was created from plastic materials and entirely painted and varnished by XTC, with counterfeit banknotes.
The frame is part of the artwork. It is provided with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without, as in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) supplied.
The shipped piece is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has grown into a passion that needed to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement (recontextualization) of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), pitting them against the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or even caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration from, among others, Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addiction in general.
Any defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
