Description from the seller
• Central Theme: The scene captures a dynamic, energetic bullfighting tableau in the corrals or inner yards of a plaza. A black bull in motion occupies the lower left plane, charging or advancing with force across the churned ground.
• Characters:
• On the left, a worker or assistant wearing a hat grips with tension a rope or lariat that connects directly to the bull, trying to control or steer its trajectory.
• At the top, perched on the walls or roofs of the buildings, two other workers or spectators observe and monitor the maneuver from a safe position.
• Composition and Colors: The background stands out with simple corrals' structures and wooden doors. A large door in a bright reddish-orange color dominates the center, providing a strong chromatic contrast to the work. The sky peeks through the background with soft tones and light clouds.
• Painting Style: Faithful to Roberto Domingo's style, the painting is characterized by a loose, quick, and impasto brushstroke, heavily influenced by Impressionism. It does not seek meticulous detail, but masterfully captures the movement, the tension of the moment, the suspended dust, and the vibrancy of light on the scene.
