Description from the seller
“Waterloo (1815) with new documents”
Opera in two volumes by General Alberto Pollio
An imposing historical testimony that sheds light on one of the most decisive events of modern Europe.
Complete edition with portraits and all folded plates, precious for understanding strategies, movements and protagonists. The two volumes are bound in elegant blue leather with a gold-colored crest that further embellishes their appearance.
Well preserved, they show slight signs of time — small wear, some stains and a natural yellowing of the pages — discrete traces that tell their history and authenticity.
A highly documented work, published by the Ministry of War.
Volume sizes: about 25 cm
Volume I: 240 pages with 9 plates out of text
Volume II: 251 pages with 6 plates out of text
An authentic piece of history, capable of restoring, with rigor and fascination, the epic breath of an event that marked the fate of Europe.
