Description from the seller

Albert Monier (1915-1988)
View of Montmartre hill, Paris, at dawn, under the mist.
Vintage silver print
Dimension: H. 50 cm - L. 40 cm.
Photo dimensions: H. 42 cm - L. 40 cm
Born in 1915 into a peasant family from Cantal, Albert Monier has been practicing photography since the 1930s. With an intimate romanticism and extreme modesty, the man who saw himself as 'a stylistic photographer' was fascinated by landscapes as well as by the gestures and attitudes of people, avoiding the harsh confrontation of portraiture. His encounter with Paris in the early 1950s was a tremendous success, shaped by images of eternal significance. Auvergne and his love for humble people became his second great passion, where he experienced the noble idea of 'a rustic poetry.'
Excellent condition
Fast and careful shipping via Colissimo, in a tube.
