Description from the seller

"Kyoto-based "Tachikichi" Kiyomizu Ware Vase, "Yusai" with a Pair of Cranes"

A VASE FROM THE VENERABLE KYOTO BRAND "TACHIKICHI" - KIYOMIZU WARE, PRODUCT NAME "YUSAI"
About the Item
This is a vase from Tachikichi, a venerable porcelain and ceramic brand founded in Kyoto. This vase, named "Yusai" (meaning "ethereal color"), is crafted using the techniques of Kyoto's traditional Kiyomizu ware. This piece is believed to have been made in the 1980s.

The key feature of this piece is its elegant depiction of a pair of cranes (tsugai no tsuru). In Japan, a pair of cranes is a highly auspicious symbol representing "marital harmony" and "longevity." The vase's design, combined with its profound and beautiful coloration, makes it a refined piece of art.

Whether you use it to display flowers or as a standalone interior piece, this vase will bring a touch of Japanese elegance to any space. It's a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of exquisite Japanese craftsmanship from a brand with a history of over 270 years. The original wooden box is included.

Tachikichi also opened an online shop for North America in March of this year.
