Description from the seller
Antoon Kruysen (1898-1977) was the son of Jan Kruysen and initially received lessons from his father. After studying at the academy in Rotterdam, he moved to Geneva. Around 1925, he settled in Chartres, France, where he would live for most of his life. There, he also met Maurice de Vlaminck. Kruysen was a lively, passionate painter whose character is reflected in the vibrant colors and spontaneous, expressionist brushwork of his paintings. He is considered part of the post-peak of French Fauvism. Works by the painter are, among others, owned by the Musée Jeu de Paume in Paris.
Dimensions of work with frame: 63 x 55 cm
Dimensions of the work without frame: 46 x 38 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary.
