Founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, Wiese & Krohn built its reputation exporting Port wine to Scandinavian markets and Germany. The company — now known simply as Krohn — is currently managed by the third generation of the family of Edmundo Falcão Carneiro, who oversaw the firm’s export operations from 1910 onwards.
