Coquette, an oil on canvas portrait by Juan Bautista Guzmán (1850-1898) from 19th-century Spain, signed lower right, framed with the original period wood frame, measuring 82 cm high by 40.7 cm wide.
Description from the seller
Colourfully and sunny street scene in Sevilla (?) in Spain created in 1880s by Spanish painter Juan Bautista Guzmán (1850-1896), who worked in Granada and Sevilla . Similar painting by Gutzman was sold in the auctionshouse Balclis in Barcelona on 20.10.2011 (see additional photo).
Inscription: signed lower right
Technique: Oil on canvas. Original period wood frame.
Measurements: unframed w 9 4/5" x h 26" x (25 x 66 cm); framed w 16" x 32 1/4" ( 40,7 x 82 cm )
Condition: in very good condition
