Depicting architectural whimsical figures with scenes of miracles of Christ.
First half of the 18th century Neapolitan school.
Circle of Leonardo Coccorante, born in Naples in 1680, his teachers were Jan Frans van Bloemen, Angelo Maria Costa, and Gabriele Ricciardelli.
He worked on the decoration of the Royal Palace for the Bourbons and died in Naples in 1750.
Known for his landscapes with imaginary classical architectural ruins.
The paintings were relined in the past.
Note the quality in both the flesh tones and the drapery, especially in the architecture.
The frames are coeval.
