In the heart of Campbeltown, one of Scotland's historic whisky regions, lies the Glengyle distillery, a symbol of the rebirth of this small but prestigious area. Founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, the distillery experienced periods of prosperity and hardship until its final closure in 1925. After nearly eighty years of silence, Glengyle was revived in 2004 thanks to the commitment of Hedley Wright, the founder's great-grandson, who, with Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd, brought artisanal production back to the town, faithful to tradition.

The Kilkerran 8 Years Old Cask Strength – Batch #11 perfectly embodies this spirit: a lightly peated single malt, matured for at least eight years in ex-bourbon casks, bottled at full strength (55.6% ABV) without chill filtration or added color. Produced with a peat content of approximately 45 ppm, this whisky represents a rare combination of smoky intensity and Campbeltown's signature elegance. Aged in ex-bourbon (90%) and ex-sherry (10%) casks, it creates a balance of sweet, spicy, and distinctly peated notes.
