In 'A Sigh Under the Sea,' the figure emerges suspended in a moment where time seems to dissolve along with the water. The face, completely enveloped by bubbles bursting in white and greenish hues, conveys a unique blend of innocence, freedom, and complete surrender to the aquatic environment. The closed eyes suggest voluntary abandonment, almost ritualistic, where every particle of light passing through the water caresses the skin and transforms the scene into a mosaic of vibrant reflections.

The work reveals a remarkable mastery of oil, where visible brushstrokes create a dynamic texture that mimics the movement of water and the changing brilliance of the sun beneath the surface. The warm tones that traverse the skin contrast with the greens and blues that envelop the composition, generating a dialogue between energy and calm, between play and emotional depth.

This work not only represents a human gesture: it embodies a return to a primitive state of connection with oneself, a private moment in which breath — transformed into a bubble — becomes a symbol of life, freedom, and vulnerability.
