Bronze Vase “Wa” 和(わ) – Kitamura Seibo 北村西望(きたむら せいぼう)

Japanese bronze sculpture “Wa” (Harmony) by Kitamura Seibo, the renowned creator of the Nagasaki Peace Statue.
Kitamura Seibo (1884–1987) continued creating art past the age of 100 and left more than 600 works throughout his career. He is widely celebrated for his dynamic sculptural style and powerful depictions of the human form, and he received the Order of Culture in 1958.

This work is a bronze single-flower vase (ichirin-zashi) that can be enjoyed either with seasonal flowers or as an independent sculptural object. Its organic form and textured surface give it a strong presence suitable for interior display.
The original wooden box (tomobako) signed by the artist is included.
