Original complete Asso di Picche series, first edition, stapled binding, published by Uragano Comics between 1945 and 1949, with drawings by Hugo Pratt, Dino Battaglia, Paul Campani, Ferdinando Carcupino and others; condition: Very Good.
Description from the seller
Auction without reserve price of a piece of Italian comic history: 'L'Asso di Picche', published in Venice in 1945 by Uragano Comics, drawings by Hugo Pratt, Dino Battaglia, Giorgio Bellavitis, Paul Campani, Ferdinando Carcupino, Damiano Damiani, Mario Faustinelli, and Mario Leone.
Complete set of 20 issues, divided into three series with two supplements.
- Series in horizontal format, 31x21 cm, quantities from 1 to 6.
- II series in vertical format, 19x26.5 cm, numbers from 1 to 7;
- III series vertical format cm 19x26.5, numbers from 1 to 5;
- Supplements in horizontal format 31x21 cm, numbers 10 and 13.
Conservation details, noting that the first series was printed on thin paper (published immediately after the war) and therefore impossible to find in perfect condition: the first two issues have detached covers; issue no. 3 lacks a corner on the cover (top outer); issue no. 5 has conservative restoration on the spine; supplement no. 10 still has detached covers; all other issues are in more than excellent condition, I would say in perfect condition given the age of the comics.
