Photographer and author, Franck Pourcel lives in Marseille. He explores the relationship between humans and their territory. His photographic work, in black and white or color, combines a documentary perspective with contemporary artistic creation. His photographs are regularly exhibited in France and abroad. They are part of the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Maison européenne de la photographie, the Fonds régional d’art contemporain (Frac) Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the Archives départementales des Bouches-du-Rhône, the Centre méditerranéen de la Photographie in Bastia, the Musée de la Camargue, the Muséon Arlaten, among others, and are also included in private collections.
Franck Pourcel was the recipient of several awards and received various grants supporting publishing, creation, and research, such as the scholarship from the ethnological heritage mission of the Ministry of Culture.
