Giorgio De Chirico (1888-1978) - Profilo di donna-Opera a vernice molle

A work of deep aesthetic sensitivity by Giorgio de Chirico titled 'Profile of a Woman.' The piece is a rare and refined soft ground etching, a technique particularly valued for its ability to convey the softness and fluidity of charcoal drawing. This technique allows for an extremely sensitive rendering of the line, which in this composition appears light, trembling, and poetic, almost whispered onto the paper.
The work is considered rare; it was performed in 1971 in a limited edition of only 65 copies. This is number 6.
The artist signs in pencil at the bottom right, where the Alberto Caprini Embossed Stamp in Rome is also visible.
In the bottom left in pencil, the number of the specimen is indicated next to Giorgio de Chirico's dry stamp.
The dimensions are for the slab: 44x32 cm; for the sheet: 70x50.5 cm; with its beautiful frame measuring 68x86 cm.
The work is published on page 29 of the General Catalog of De Chirico's Works, registered with the code 141 panel 16.
