The Parker Vacumatic Maxima from Canada in brown amber celluloid, 136 mm long and 13.7 mm wide, combines large format with well preserved detailing and a gold feather clip.
Description from the seller
This Parker Vacumatic Maxima, manufactured in Canada and belonging to the largest size in the entire Vacumatic line, is presented in an exceptional state of preservation, combining presence, originality, and a deeply well-preserved aesthetic. With its 136 mm in length and 13.7 mm in diameter, this specimen offers the imposing dimension characteristic of the Maxima format, actively sought after by advanced collectors.
The body, made of laminated brown-amber celluloid, displays the classic Vacumatic pattern with a clear and regular transparency, allowing for a clear view of the ink count windows. This brightness and depth of color demonstrate that the material remains stable, with no opacities or crystallization, which is rare in pieces of this age.
The cap is preserved magnificently, highlighting the iconic arrow clip with a gold-plated finish, featuring clean details and excellent definition. The central ring, decorated with the geometric motif characteristic of the Maxima, displays extraordinary sharpness and retains its relief without wear, indicating minimal handling over time. The cap's screw operates smoothly, ensuring a secure and well-fitted closure.
The body engravings — 'PARKER VACUMATIC,' 'MADE IN CANADA,' and the registration marks — remain deep, legible, and perfectly defined, confirming the absence of abrasive polishing and respect for the original integrity of the piece.
The 14-karat gold nib, engraved with 'Parker Vacumatic' and featuring the stylized vertical arrow, is in excellent condition: free of deformations, with no noticeable wear on the tip, and a shiny finish indicating very limited use. The multi-feather feed, characteristic of the Vacumatic, is complete and clean, ready to provide a steady and balanced flow.
The Vacumatic Filler loading system housed in the cowl shows its visible components in very good aesthetic condition; as with all vintage pieces, it could be checked before regular use, but visually it appears intact and undamaged.
Overall, this Canadian Parker Vacumatic Maxima stands out for its impressive size, superior preservation of its celluloid, the integrity of its gold finishes, and the sharpness of all its engravings. It is a highly collectible specimen, difficult to find in this condition and perfect for both display and refined writing.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
