Description from the seller

Tiziano Vecellio (1488/90-1576) Workshop of
- Author: Venetian painter or workshop of Titian Vecellio (16th century)
“Ecce Homo”
Venice, late 16th century Italian
Museum work from the second half of the 16th century
-period: 1560/1590 - The work is a collector's item of the highest artistic quality
Expertise
The work features iconography, color scheme, and layout consistent with Titian's late production and the devotional serial practice typical of the workshop in the second half of the 16th century. The soft rendering of the flesh tones and the tonal treatment suggest a hand close to the collaborators active in the final period of the Master's career or in the period immediately following his death.
The painting can be consistently attributed to Titian's workshop, lacking the hallmarks of a full attribution but with respectable pictorial quality. The estimate is reasonable for similar works on the market.
