Biographical notes
Born in Piacenza in 1949, he studied at the Gazzola Art Institute of Piacenza and the Institute of Fine Arts in Parma. At twenty, he spent several seasons in Paris, where he alternated attending the famous evening nude school La Grande Chaumière with daily study and direct, meditative knowledge of the works of great ancient and modern painting. Returning to Piacenza, he met Foppiani and Mosconi, who introduced him to the Milanese artistic environment. His first solo exhibition was in 1976, followed by many others in Italy and abroad. He lives and works in Piacenza.
