Andy Warhol's 1966 Self-Portrait is a series of iconic silkscreen prints that reflect his celebrity status and artist status, using his own face as the subject, as in his earlier celebrity works. These portraits, often on silver-colored paper and in vibrant colors, were produced using techniques such as silkscreen and lithography. The work marked a turning point in his career, when the artist himself became almost as recognizable as his artwork.
