Description from the seller

Peces del Rio I - Simeon Gonzales (2024) - "River Fish"

- 50x40cm
- Painting shipped strecthed on the wooden frame
- Tracking number provided
- Certificate of Authenticity included

For over 25 years, Simeon has been working, exploring new techniques, and creating his own characters and style. He expresses moments of everyday life in many of his works. Reflection and emphasis on the looks and faces that express joy, sadness, and the moments life gives us. Color is always very important - it reflects
happiness, delight, and many more feelings. Andean culture has always expressed itself through colors in its textiles, ceramics, carvings, etc.

By himself -
I always carry a lot of Peruvian culture left to us by the Inca ancestors. An ancient culture where we can learn and nourish ourselves every day with its streets, archaeological sites, textiles, and food. It's a legacy that many of us feel committed to always carrying our culture in our works. The purity of many of the colors of my works is due to the fact that the ancestors of Peru used plant dyes. All natural in their manifestations, colored
bird feathers, so many of us have those colors impregnated in our retinas. That is why color, Inca design, and iconography are very important in my works. Always with the style and in a constant search for new materials and new languages, trying in many ways to achieve a synthesis capable of transmitting Peruvian culture in its maximum expression.
