Helmut Stege was a well-known photographer in the GDR. He had his portrait photography studio in Quedlinburg. His passion and main occupation was nudist photography on the Baltic Sea beach.

Stege's photos were frequently published on the famous inside cover of the magazine 'Das Magazin.' It was one of the few media outlets in the GDR that published nude photos.
He was allowed to publish. Stege published under his name in almost all well-known FKK magazines of the Federal Republic: Sonnenfreunde, Helios, among others. The photo offered here also comes from the archive of one of these magazines and is therefore very rare.
