Description from the seller

PAWSEY'S LASIES - Fashionable Repository - for 1866 - Printed by 'HADDOCK' at Ipswich
Very old book, presented as a small, portable, and foldable 'notebook'.
A true little gem of the Victorian press!
It contains a wealth of illustrations, engravings, or others, from the period, depicting very specific places, numerous articles on French, Italian, and European poetry, and riddles to solve.
News issued by the publisher's foreign correspondents.
It also includes a schedule, with the lunar phases for each month and day-by-day details of the various important holidays.
presence of ex-libris
- S.B. Howell - Bookseller, 52 New Street, Birmingham
GUILLOT De Saix
This little masterpiece was apparently offered or purchased on December 22, 1965, by a certain 'Mrs Alkire'.
The engravings, even of this size, are absolutely stunning due to their finesse and richness in detail.
The paper, of fine quality, features a raised 'blason' style mark.
Dimensions: 12 x 8 x 1 cm
weight: 70 g
The binding, made of bright red leather on the outside and dark green on the inside, with a small strap closure, is in excellent condition, with gilded edges.
The inner pages, very well preserved, deliver their texts without any issues.
The set obviously shows signs of usage or age-related wear but remains, for its era and category, in excellent condition of preservation.
A very beautiful specimen for any true collector!!!
