Description from the seller

HISTORICAL work from the 70s, exactly from 1973, by the Master MICHELE ZAZA, photograph applied on cardboard, very rare, size 24.5x18 (totally including the white part which is obviously part of the work).

The work is complete with the classic Arte Povera frame designed and mounted by the Master himself (see photos 1, 2 and 3).

On the back of the photo, the artist's signature, title, and year (see photo 5); on the back of the protective cardboard, again, the Master's signature, date, and title (see photo 6).

The work is important for several reasons, first and foremost for its date—the 1970s—but also for the unique black-and-white shot, a rare find in Zaza's work. It is also remarkable for the pose and the context itself (a mirror) in which the Maestro is portrayed; in the foreground, a hand is clearly visible, holding a plate with a stone (see photo).

A work of absolute conceptual beauty, it represents one of the first photographs designed and created by ZAZA.

The authentic signature of the Master on the photograph.
