John Lennon, Yoko Ono - Five essential albums plus books - Multiple titles - LP - 1968

It still defies logic that the ultimate peace-prophet was killed. By a fan, of all people. Happily we still have Lennons music. But it is a small comfort. On offer here are some of his berst-known and posthumous albums.

All records are in mint condition. Always protected by special sleeves, hardly played, securely shelved. Check the pictures for the state they are in, you will be amazed.


1. Two virgins. In the brown paper bag used in the states to hide the nudity. I think, according to the mint state, this is not the 1968 release but the 1985 re-issue. It says "Mfg. in U.S.A. Distributed by Tetragrammaton Records" on labels. Discogs calls this ‘a semi-official reissue’ (huh?) (and puts a hefty price on it)

2. Imagine. An amazing album, no info needed.

3. Milk and honey, The final collaborative album with Yoko. Released after his death by Yoko. Music was recorded just after the Double fantasy sessions.

4. Menlove Ave. The second posthumous release, just after Milk and Honey. Side A are outtakes from the ‘Rock ‘n roll’-sessions in 1973. Side B stems from the rehearsels for Walls and Bridges, 1974.

5. Live in New York City. Compiled by Yoko from the 1972 concerts in Madison Square Garden with the Plastic Ono Elephants Memory Band. His second live album since Live Peace in Toronto of ’69. First Dutch pressing Parlophone/Teldec 064-24-0485 1, 1986 Europe (Netherlands). Vinyl mint, sleeve mint

6. Rock n roll. His final solo album. It consists of cover from famed oldies. It contains three songs by Morris Levy, as result from an agreement after John copied a line of his in Cometogether.

7. The playboy interview. Pocket-edition of the full transcripts of the famed interview. The magazine containing it was on the stands when he was killed. This is twenty hour’s worth of tape, recorded over three weeks in September 1908. No topic was blacklisted everything came on the table.

8. John Lennon. Dutch pocket with interview excerpts, biography, discography and many pictures. So even if you can’st read Dutch, nice to flip through. Bruna, 192 pages.
