Francesco Mussida - Moon and Jupiter

This gelatin silver print is part of the solo exhibition "Under a Good Star and Other Natural Stories," created in 2024. This print, created while monitoring Caretta Caretta turtles on the beaches of the Borsacchio Reserve in Italy, captures a particular astronomical moment: the Moon and Jupiter on the Adriatic Sea, watching over a small boat in the very early hours of the day.

The creation process of this limited edition artwork follows entirely analog and manual techniques, therefore each piece is to be considered unique.

The shot was taken with a vintage Leica M6 analog camera.

The print is numbered and signed by the author on the back, the image dimensions are 30.5 (h) x 46 (w) cm on a 40x50 cm Ilford MG Fiber Base Classic Glossy print sheet inserted in a 45(h) x 60(W) cm acid-free pure cellulose museum passepartout.
The print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
